SPONSORING the ACADEMIC and CHRISTIAN EDUCATION of HAITIAN CHILDREN

Salisbury Presbyterian Church sponsors children in Haiti through Haiti Outreach Ministries (HOM), a non-profit organization whose goal is to bring Christianity to the Haitians of Cite Soleil
Salisbury Presbyterian’s sponsorship of students of the Cite Soleil Christian Church Primary School is done individually by church members, by circles and by Outreach. Sponsorship of one Haitian student is $20 per month. This amount supports the child’s academic and Christian education, a hot lunch, medical care, uniform, books and supplies.
Additional information about the Cite Soleil Christian Church Primary School can be found at the HOM Student Sponsorship Website and also at the Haiti Outreach Ministries' Sponsorship main page.

For more information about sponsoring one these children contact Loran McGlynn, the church office: info@salisburypc.org (794-5311), or HOM’s Sponsorship Director, Linda Glass: haitiouteach@earthlink.net (540-899-6335).

MORE ABOUT CITE SOLEIL
(As quoted from the HOM brochure)
“Cite Soleil is commonly known as the worst slum area in the Western Hemisphere. Over 300,000 residents live in this unsanitary and crowded area.  They are certainly some of the most underprivileged people in the world … and are without a doubt the poorest Haitians in the country.
Most people live in one-room huts; the most fortunate families have tin roofs above their heads for protection from the elements.  The roads in cite Soleil are mainly dirt roads.  Jobs, food and money are virtually non-existent.  Diseases run rampant; most residents have no access to regular health care.

But the people of Cite Soleil desire to work, learn and study about God.  You can fulfill their needs with your prayer and financial support through HOM.”

To participate or for more information, please contact Loran McGlynn, the church office: info@salisburypc.org (794-5311), or HOM’s Sponsorship Director, Linda Glass: haitiouteach@earthlink.net (540-899-6335).
