New Family Ministry Program

Salisbury Presbyterian Church wants to provide families of all shapes and sizes with unique opportunities for families to spend time together, learn about Christ, serve others, and live out their faith.  A new ministry has been formed that will begin in January with the following goals:

• to educate and encourage parents in the spiritual nuturing of their children
• to meet the ever changing needs of families
• to provide creative and fun opportunities to build community and relationships among families.

Bring your family, all are welcome including grandparents, aunts, uncles, stepparents, single parents, etc., to our first event "Love your Neighbor as Yourself" on Sunday, January 13 at 3 p.m. in the FE Hall.  Families will discuss what it would be like to have member of their family working away in the military for a long period of time. We will hear from some special people who have lived this way.  Also, we will make cards to send to service members in our church.

• Infant Nursery during Sunday School
• Nursery Care for Infants - four year olds during 8:45 and 11:00 AM Worship. 
• Extended Session for Kindergartners - Second Graders - Creative activity and Bible Lesson provided during the sermon portion of the 11:00 AM Worship in Room 204. Note: Children must also be registered for this session. Forms are available in the narthex.
• Worship Classes for 3rd Graders - Six Sessions exploring why we worship and how we go about worshipping in Salisbury Presbyterian Church. These classes are held during the 11:00 AM Worship service in room 205, Fellowship Hall, beginning this year on Sunday, September 24, 2006 and continuing through the last Sunday in October. Information and a registration form will be mailed to third graders in early September. Parents, please register your child/children for the class by returning your postcard, or by email,  or by calling the church office at 794-5311. On Sunday,November 5, at the 11:00 a.m. service all third graders are presented a Bible as a gift from Salisbury Presbyterian Church. 
• Primary Choir for all children, grades K-Second Grade  - Children meet each Sunday morning (9:45-10:00 AM) in the Kindergarten classroom located in the Activity Building. (Check link for details.)
• Junior Choir for all children, grades 3-5  - Rehearsals Sundays 6-7:30 PM in the Choir Room. (Check link for details.)
• KIDS ALIVE! - Games, Fellowship, and Fun for Kids in 3rd through 5th grades, meeting the Second Sunday of each month from 5:00 - 6:30 pm in the Gym.
• VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL for four year olds - rising Sixth Graders. Held the every summer. Click here to jump to the VBS Webpage for details. 
• Weekday Salisbury Presbyterian Preschool  (September - May) for two and a half - five year olds. 
• Summer Salisbury Presbyterian Preschool (June-July) for four and five year olds.
